Carers’ Hub Lambeth is proud to be supporting Young Carers Action Day 2023.

The day was created by Carers Trust, to promote issues faced by and raise awareness of Young Carers. Their recent research confirms the following:

As part of Young Carers Action Day, Carers Trust have produced a pledge for individuals to sign, agreeing to champion the needs of young

carers and young adult carers. You can read more and sign it here.

They have produced a template letter

for individuals to send to their local

decision-makers. The letter requests more support for Young Carers. You can download the template, fill it in and add your own personal stories and experiences, before posting or emailing it to your local politicians.

Proactive work is very useful when trying to boost awareness of the challenges that young people face. We work hard to support our Young Carers, but more support at a higher level can drive systemic change and improve outcomes for all.
