Carers Week 2021
7-13 June
Making caring visible and valued
How we got involved
This year's Carers Week theme is all about Making Caring Visible and Valued and here at Carers' Hub Lambeth we're enjoying the opportunity that Carers Week offers to celebrate unpaid carers and raise awareness of caring by running a range of face to face and online events for local professionals, community members and Carers' Hub registered carers, including:
Awareness raising

Online Carer Awareness Sessions, open to professionals and volunteers working in Lambeth. We ran our Carers Awareness sessions exploring how we can all help to Make Caring Visible and Valued in Lambeth. We also discussed more about unpaid carers, the challenges they may face and the support available from Carers' Hub.
Carers Week stall at Brockwell Park Cafe: The Carers' Hub team ran a stall at Brockwell Park Cafe on Friday 11th June, 3 - 5pm, to raise awareness of carers and our services.

Lambeth Carers Card Facebook Live: we went live on Facebook chatting about the support on offer to unpaid carers aged 18 + via the Lambeth Carers Card, and answering questions from carers, local community members and professionals. The Lambeth Carers Card connects unpaid carers to helpful information, emergency planning resources and support. You can check the recording from the live stream here.
Lambeth Carers Card animation
For Carers Week 2021 the Lambeth Carers Card have produced a new animation about how the scheme connects unpaid carers to helpful information, emergency planning resources and support.
You can let carers know about the scheme by sharing the animation.
What is Carers Week
Carers Week is a national campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don't think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.
